Maine Trip with Jen

Hooray! Jen and I are on a trip to Maine to see Care! We always wondered if we'd be able to visit, but it really didn't seem possible. Mike surprised us a couple of months ago with a "sample itinerary" for "if we ever might be able to". Then the trip seemed a possibility, however remote. But a week and a half ago, it all pulled together. The flights we found were at decent prices and times, and we found we could time it to coincide with Spring Break. The other kids were kind enough to accept alternative plans for the vacation, and we were on our way! THANK YOU, MIKE!!!

And Congrats to Jonny, too!

"...We are recommending that Jonathan register for Pre-Calculus Honors..." WHAT?!?!? He's only going to be a Sophmore! GO JONNY!!! :)

Spring has fully sprung!!

There are a hundred bazillion kids outside in bare feet and short sleeves, running, digging, jumping on the tramp, and visiting with friends! It's Spring!! :)

So proud of Jen! She's been anxiously awaiting the results of choir auditions for next year...and she just found out she (along with two of her best friends) made it into the top choir!! Hooray! She LOVES choir, and she's going to have so much fun! :D

Flying

Mike's friend just gave this RC helicopter to Jer. It just so happens this is the very one he has been checking out online for WEEKS! Anyway, I went to go pick up Jess from a party, and when I returned 45 minutes later, he had built a helipad. Of course. :) Mr. Creator strikes again!

Jess...

Jess just retold the entire first chapter of "The Secret Garden" to me after running off to a corner to read it. Hmmm. I think she's getting it! (Jen gave it to her, much to my surprise, after Jess had been complaining for a few days that the books on her shelves were too simple.) Hmmm....

Jen just finished this gorgeous new skirt! She did almost the whole thing herself (she used the new machine she got for Christmas)! I'm so proud of her!
