The end of school is almost here! The elementary kids celebrate every year with a Fun Run/Field Day and a Dance Festival (postponed a day due to rain, but happily performed the next).
Jen had fun in her art class this term. She created some beautiful pieces. Recently, they studied Frank Lloyd Wright! Here's a design she made based on principles and inspiration from his Fallingwater:
Mike got a new bike for me today! He's the best! For our inaugural ride, we went from Vivian Park to Utah Lake to Provo Station. It ROCKED, and so does Mike!
(Here's Mike with the mouth of the canyon WAY behind him. We covered some serious territory today!)
Jonathan, yesterday, passed the IC3 Computer Core Certification test (actually, all 3 of them), with flying colors!! (This is after the high school counsellors, at our registration orientation said, and I quote, "...There is an exam available to test out of the computer class, but it's hard to get it, and it's practically impossible to pass. Almost nobody does. So don't bother." :). Cool, huh?
Oh-and did I mention in the last week and a half, Jonathan also took the AP Human Geography test and he won (for the third consecutive time) the Viking Iron Chef school-wide cooking contest!
Stellar, eh?!?
(Here are his award-winning cheesecake-stuffed strawberries which he made for us for Mother's Day!)
Okay. I can't help it. I have to post early-season pictures (because OF COURSE I'll post later-season pics, and we need something with which to compare!) Please indulge.
p.s. And yes, I KNOW I said I wasn't going to plant this year...just take it easy...but... :D
The day has finally come! Jer (and all of us!) met with his teacher, George Wilkes, at Best in Music to choose a new guitar. He's graduated!! He really needed a new, better functioning, just-for-him instrument.
He tried all different sounds and shapes and types...
...and so did Jess...
...then settled on just the right one. (Thanks, Mike!!!)
